This is not fine art.

Hi Iā€™m Brandi and I am not a fine artist.

My art journey began in Portland, Oregon, where my husband and I lived for 7 years. I had dreamed of pursuing my passion of hiking and trail running in the mountains so we packed up from our home outside of Dallas, TX and moved to west coast. It is impossible not to be inspired by the energy of the pacific northwest and I found myself creating art as a means of expression gratitude for the experiences I had in communion with such wild landscape.

So I adventured in the mountains and made a lot of art that involved fir trees until it was time (for a lot of reasons) to move closer to family in southeastern Oklahoma.

The landscape around me has changed drastically, but then 7 years of fully living into a dream changed me drastically too. I am able to bring a deep appreciation and connection with the land I walk on, wherever that may be. I find poetry in big skies and rugged pines, rocky shores and wildflowers. There is often paint on my hands and pine needles in my hair. My art is a little unruly and rough around the edges. Like me. Like this land. Just the way I like it.
